Saleyard Support Officer

Our client is seeking a reliable and motivated Livestock Sales Support Officer to assist with weekly livestock sales, on Mondays. This role involves supporting the auction process, maintaining stock flow, and providing administrative assistance in a fast-paced environment.


Duties

• Assisting the auctioneer in the selling ring Moving livestock smoothly into and out of the ring at the right time
• Keeping stock flowing so sales run efficiently, Positioning animals so buyers can clearly see them while bidding
• Observing buyer interest and communicating signals (bids/nods) to the auctioneer if required
• Maintaining safety for people and animals at all times
• Assisting agents with buyer identification and recording bids
• Checking and confirming vendor details, stock numbers, and documentation

About you

• Current Class C Drivers Licence
• General Construction Induction Training Card (White card)
• Proven experience in service delivery administration with demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise workload, and to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong stock-handling ability and awareness of livestock behaviour
• Ability to work fast-paced in a noisy environment
